One of the Most Unique Podcasts
David Choe on the Joe Rogan Experience #1518
This was one of the most interesting podcasts I’ve ever listened to. It’s eye opening, vulnerable, entertaining, and fascinating to hear someone’s story who’s gone through so much pain and gone through all the way to massive success. Forewarning it’s quite emotional.
David Choe is a painter to self-express and talks about his experiences growing up and the emotional side of success. He’s one of the most interesting people I’ve listened to.
4 hours long but highly recommend if you want some wild exposure.
Kickass Poem
On Children (1 min read)
Odd title, agreed. Delicious poem… no, okay, maybe not the right adjective…. yup, definitely the wrong adjective.
Whatever, it’s very good. Super short, talks about the future generation and empowering them.
Throw back to throw the head forward
(damn clever, I know)
Once in a Lifetime Talking Heads
Afterall, how did we get here?
Such a banger of a song. It’s kinda weird to think this song is 43 years old and still bumping. I’ve been jamming to it recently so hopefully you enjoy it as much as I have.
Ideas for Better Self Love
“Celebrate the small victories”
– My roommate
I used to beat myself up relentlessly. I also knew I could do better and I incessantly demanded more from myself. In Academics I experienced this. In sports I experienced this. In my relationships I experienced this.
I was never satisfied with how I acted or performed so I was consistently dissatisfied with myself. I dislike who I was and was uncomfortable with myself. About 1.5 years ago I got this advice in the midst of beginning to learn Jiu Jitsu.
If we never celebrate the things we’re doing right, we only focus on what we’ve done wrong. That’s no way to go about life. Once I started appreciating all the mini successes I was having it opened my eyes to the things I was doing well. Celebrate the small victories.
