A Podcast on Anxiety
Shelby Stranger hosts James Nestor, author of Breath.
33 minutes podcast with James Nestor. After literal years of research Breath was the book that closed the loop on sleep improvement. Nothing else had worked except the tip I learned from this book – mouth tape. Along the way (8 hours of audio) I learned a plethora of applicable things about quality of life directly linked to the way we breath. Crazy.
This podcast is a condensed version, just as high quality. Stuff covered:
-Origins of stress
-Roles of O2 vs CO2 and how they affect our running capabilities
-Sleep improvement
-Snoring management
Transformative.
A Podcast for Climbers (Athletes)
My roommate turned me on to this podcast a few weeks ago. It opened my eyes up to the different ways the body uses energy for different intervals.
0-10 seconds – Peak power output (alactic)
10-70 seconds – High power slightly sustained (lactic)
70 seconds – hours/days – Aerobic
You can train each individually and cater to your sport.
A Juicy Quote
“The more the give to yourself the more you can ask of yourself”

I’m not certain where this quote came from, but 6 months ago a good friend told me about it and it popped in to my head. It is helpful advice to be kinder to yourself.
