Little bit of faith and some hard work

“When challenges are thrown your way and you are wondering how on Earth it will all come together, how you will find peace about a particular relationship, when the contacts you need will arrive, or how you will find the money to make something happen, just remember that what your heart wants, you want too. You just have to get out of the way sometimes. Take what action you can and then let go”
5 Regrets of the Dying

A bit sappy, I’ll admit, but written at the end of this Sometimes I forget to think about whether or not I can actually control the thing I am getting frustrated with.

What if money was no object?

What if Money Was No Object by Alan Watts (3 mins)

First heard this clip in The Incredible True Story (7 min song) by Logic. Fantastic song and phenomenal clip. I’ve had these sentiments before but god damn can Alan Watts put thoughts into words.

Business Advice from Audi R8 Driver

“Build things, create things, sell things”

Last December I was fortunate to be able to trip to Hawaii with some good buddies. We were wandering on the northern part of the island when we wandered in to this bar with an Audi R8 parked out front.

We started talking to the tall, white bearded man who owned it. He looked a bit like Mr. Miyagi, but not asian at all. After asking him what he did for a living, he told me he “Builds things, creates things, and sells things”.

It sounded pretty damn ominous, but echoed an article I read by Paul Graham a while back – How to Make Wealth. Money is just the metric used to say how useful something is. Help people solve problems and money comes as a byproduct. Also echoes a quote by Elon.

“You get paid in direct proportion to the difficulty of problems you solve”

A fun jingle
