“The value of a smile at Christmas
It costs nothing, but creates much.
It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give.
It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever,
None are so rich they can get along without it, and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.
It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign of friends.
It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and Nature’s best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody till it is given away.
And if in the last-minute rush of Christmas buying some of our salespeople should be too tired to give you a smile, may we ask you to leave one of yours?
For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to give!”

The Emotional Wheel
Christmas tends to be the time of year where I feel the most gratitude in my life.
Time to contemplate relationships, family, friends, and appreciate what you’ve got. It’s a reminder that people care and if you’re brave enough, show other people you care too.
Relationships get difficult though and it rarely seems like we’ve got the words to understand what the hell emotions we’re feeling. That seems to be life in a nutshell – Misunderstanding.
A good buddy told me about this Emotional Wheel about half a year ago, maybe it’ll help.

This one hits. It’s definitely a grind. But nobody else is gonna do it for you.
Kickass Concept Dealing with People on Christmas
“Attack the problem not the person”
We all have our own ideas. Unfortunately, we’ve all got a pretty big ego – we like our ideas… a lot.
We think we are our ideas.
When other people don’t like our ideas, sometimes we think they don’t like us.
I can be a bit blunt in my verbal deliveries, sometimes causing hard feelings. I’m realizing it helps to explain to people you care about them before just simply disputing their ideas.
We take these things personal, but we don’t have to.
You are not your ideas.
Attack ideas not people.
